A BILL
S.5. Presidential Cabinet Act
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the HelloMiners Congress assembled,
Section 1. Short Title
This Act may be cited as the “Presidential Cabinet Act”.
Section 2. Establishment of a Cabinet
(a) A Cabinet shall be established following the election of the President to oversee key areas of player government operations. The Cabinet shall consist of the positions listed in Schedule A.
(b) Additional Cabinet positions may be created only through the establishment of new executive departments by an Act of Congress. Upon enactment of such legislation, Schedule A shall be deemed amended to include the newly created Cabinet position.
(c) Acting cabinet members may only be appointed to existing executive departments, and all such appointments shall be subject to the approval of congress.
Section 3. Cabinet Quota
(a) No more than 49% of all Cabinet positions at the time of appointment may be held by staff members.
(b) For the purposes of this section, a “staff member” is defined as any individual holding the position of administrator, developer, moderator, technician or an equivalent role. This includes trial positions.
Schedule A - Cabinet Positions
The Cabinet shall consist of the following positions:
- Secretary of State
- Secretary of the Treasury
- Attorney General
- Secretary of the Interior
- Secretary of Agriculture
- Secretary of Commerce
- Secretary of Labor
- Secretary of Housing
- Secretary of Transportation
