A BILL
S.4. Succession Act
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the HelloMiners Congress assembled,
Section 1. Short Title
This Act may be cited as the “Succession Act”.
Section 2. Presidential Succession
(a) If, by reason of resignation, inactivity, impeachment and conviction, or failure to qualify, there is neither a President nor Vice President, the following individuals, in the order listed, shall act as President, provided they are eligible to hold the office under the Constitution:
(i) Speaker of the House of Representatives
(ii) President pro tempore of the Senate
(iii) Secretary of State
(iv) Secretary of the Treasury
(v) Attorney General
(vi) Secretary of the Interior
(vii) Secretary of Agriculture
(viii) Secretary of Commerce
(ix) Secretary of Labor
(x) Secretary of Housing
(xi) Secretary of Transportation
(b) Any individual acting as President under this Act shall be subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the Senate. Upon confirmation, the individual shall nominate a Vice President, who shall also require Senate confirmation.
