H.R.6. Presidential Cabinet (Tenure Clarification) Amendment Act (2026)

To amend the Presidential Cabinet Act 2025 to clarify the tenure of Cabinet members.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the HelloMiners Congress assembled,

Section 1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the “Presidential Cabinet (Tenure Clarification) Amendment Act 2026”.

Section 2. Cabinet Tenure

The Presidential Cabinet Act 2025 is amended by inserting after Section 2 the following new section:

Section 2A. Tenure of Cabinet Members

(a) Cabinet members shall serve at the pleasure of the President.
(b) The term of service of Cabinet members shall not automatically expire upon the conclusion of a presidential term.
(c) Cabinet members shall continue in office until they resign, are removed by the President, impeached and removed by Congress, or a successor is duly appointed and confirmed.
(d) Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit the authority of a newly elected President to remove or replace Cabinet members upon assuming office.
(e) Nothing in this Act shall be construed to limit the power of Congress to impeach and remove Cabinet members in accordance with applicable law.
