The Summer Market is an annual event where the chosen city will provide an event area that will include rental stalls or sort of a seasonal market area for a duration of the summer (Usually a month). The city would be in charge of working with me this year to set up the area, and I would be designing the mobs and special rares and such. I can go more in detail, however, I highly suggest checking out the 2019 summer market hosted in Argos for an example.
Any city is allowed to apply, please post your applications below according to the template, and I’ll let the HMCD vote on who is the winner. Since this year hopefully we can open in late summer (on purpose), please apply if you have the time to set up an event area during that timeframe.
Sorry this post is so short, if you have any more questions, msg me on discord.
Application Template
City Name:
Tier: (optional)

Why your city should get the event:
City Name: Oyster Cove Tier: (optional) 3 Screenshot of where you want to host the event or coords: (include when server reopens) Area by river/ocean (in green) or area by airport (in yellow)
Why your city should get the event: Oyster Cove is the perfect summertime city, with tall palm trees, sandy beaches, beautiful rivers and oceans, and lots of sunshine! Unique city landmarks, such as OC Arena, Port Oyster Cove, and the Oyster Cove Lighthouse, help define its character and attract players to the city. Oyster Cove would be a perfect destination to host the Summer Market and offer a fun and welcoming experience.
(Either in Red Space, Purple Space, or both)
Why Cardiff: This year will be the fourth year since I’ve opened Cardiff, fifth year since I started working on it as a side project, and Cardiff is a garden village-themed city, which would fit a perfect theme of a village fete for the Summer Market this year. There are two options for land, either the red space, which is central to the city, or the purple zone (Manor Gardens (my prefferred choice)), which is reasonably flat and is perfect for hosting temporary, outdoor events (provided the path and busstop is retained).
Cardiff is inspired partly by the Welsh Villages, with it’s name taken after the largest major city in Wales. With the proximities of the area, it’s entirely possible for the event to be both in the RED and the PURPLE zones.
